Look at the Thompson’s recoil. MP40 has like none!

Yea but MP40 has better accuracy and a longer effective range. Also the muzzle velocity is better on the MP40; it’s bullet flies 380m per second compared to the Thompson’s 280m per second.

I have two questions. What size bullets did the PPSh use and what was the largest tank battle in World War II?
Comment by Campaigner101 — August 2, 2009 @ 2:00 pm
i hate the sturmgewehr.. its too big and obnoxious

The Thompson uses a 45. round, and the MP40 uses a 9. MM round. 45. slugs are much bigger than 9. MM slugs.
What was Patton’s famous phrase when responding to the shortage of rations among his army?

Some were brought by German refugees after WW2, but the biggest ammount of them were property of the Argentina´s Armed Forces(Who used german weaponary and replaced them in the 60´s) or Brazilian captured weaponary(During WW2 The brazilian army managed to capture more weapons, vehicles and ammunition than the entire allied forces combined managed to before the german surrendered)
