  2. M3 Grant has gotta be one of ugliest, least capable tanks of all time. Brits turned to them for sheer numbers, not because they were technologically advanced.

  7. well now we are, in the first gulf war that was the main show-down tank wise, Soviet T-90′s vs. American Abrams.

  9. I still can’t believe these shows still get there facts wrong about the Sherman and other tanks. Every one of the main battle tanks in WW2 used gasoline engines even the German Panzers! The reason the Sherman caught fire was because of the lack of a ammo storage space! The ammo was laid on the floor as with the German and UK tanks had ammo storage compartments that sealed. The US fixed this flaw later. Look it up, very few tanks were diesel powered.

  10. It really depends, Sun Tzu was big on tactical adaptability and maneuverbility. If all your troops are one big armoured fist, your gonna bulldoze everything over BUT youl get nibbled away, and eventually you’ll be gone :|

If you disperse them, you ‘may’ be more adaptable. Sun Tzu said “It is possible for an army to be like a Saipan snake, attack the head and you get the tail, attack the tail and the head lashes back, attack then cetnre and it will wrap around you and you have to deal with both.

  11. concentrate your forces!!!do not disperse them!!

  12. on the western front(ww2)the French tanks were an equal match if not better protected than there german counterparts its just they(French/British)didnt know what best to do with them on the battlefield

  13. i know but thks anyway it was the British who devised and invented the tank to assist the infantry and it was gen Guderian who wrote achtung panzer and devised the methods of implementing the tank in battle, shame Britain/France didnt bother reading it.

  14. German’s didn’t even have tanks in WWI. British invented the tank.

The rescue packages will fail miserably, which is exactly what the ruling elite anticipate. Then, the global recession will develop into global depression. The ruling elite hope that history will repeat, and just as the Great Depression of the 1930s led to World War II, the ruling elite hope that the twenty-first century economic depression will lead to World War III.

  22. They aren’t iraqis theeyre al-queda. We’re defending the iraqis.

    Comment by Sammmy100 — July 5, 2009 @ 9:06 am

  23. Absolutely right. The iraqis would have to assume the range and then use the markings on the gun scope to hit, while the americans just had to laze, lock and shoot. However there was nothing worng about the armor and firepower of the iraqi tanks, but you can have as much firepower as you want but that doesnt help if you dont know where to put it.

  24. yeah it was something like an abrams could hit a target 1200 yards off on the move, but the soviet tanks could only get 800 while stationary. i think it was something like that anyway

    Comment by Robaaaayy — July 5, 2009 @ 9:06 am

  25. two letters: DU

    No tank survives that.
