Definitely the best Motorhead song in my opinion, and a masterful and poignant piece of prose in its own right.
This song has brought a tear to my eye on more than one occasion – specifically the last verse’s discussion on the futility of war.

, my 2nd uncle participated in that war, in the Italian sector, and was lucky to survive. He was in the Brazilian army..

But, comming to think about modern war, it seem to me that feel respect for fighters who destroyed civilians as well as other fighters is such nonsense as to feel respect for the madmen who sent they to the battle field…

Hi Man good job for your video and that’s great to write at the end “in MEMORY of all participants of world war and fighters” ’cause i don’t think you to be German and you don’t say “yeah just memory to english or american ” but you say “in memory of all participants and fighters of world war II” you ‘ve got a great personality man really good vid’
